If you’re not in my neighborhood, your broadband internet connection provides an easy way to get your music to me.

Mastering FAQ -  what mastering does, what it doesn’t do, the tools I use, and more.

 

There are three basic steps in my online mastering process...

What’s included
  • high quality mp3 files posted for you to preview (uploaded)
  • final mastered files posted as high resolution mp3s (uploaded)
  • two Red Book compliant CDRs suitable for replication (shipped)
  • one audio CD for you to listen to and duplicate (shipped)
  • one data CDR of the mastered wave files (shipped)
  • cue sheet for replication plant (emailed & shipped)

Not sure what professional mastering can do for your music? Here’s a way to find out - upload a song to me, and I’ll master a portion of it, and post it online for you to preview - no commitment. This is a great way to hear how mastering at Dan’s House can push your mix right where you want it to be.

My preferred format

It’s best for you to give me 24 bit wave files, sampled at 44.1khz wave files, although I can work with whatever you’ve got. If you’re shipping the files to me, send me the files burned onto a data CD or DVD, not an audio CD.
